Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the Scans.ai mobile app ("App"), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you disagree, please stop using the App immediately.

About Scans.ai

The App is provided by Scans.ai (Pty) Ltd ("Scans.ai," "we," "us").

Use of the App

• Compatible Devices: iOS (9.0+) and Android (with accelerometer and gyroscope).
• Registration requires creating a Scans.ai account with a username, password, and security PIN.
• You must own or have permission to use the device.

App Updates

Regular updates will be released through the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. Updates may be required for continued App use.

Privacy and Data Use

Your privacy matters. We collect and use data in line with our Privacy Policy, including:

• Personal and contact details.
• Vehicle and inspection data.
• Transactional and usage information.

Your data is used exclusively for vehicle inspections, claim processing, improving our services, and compliance with legal requirements.

Third-party Content

The App may link to external websites. Scans.ai isn’t responsible for third-party content or privacy practices.

License to Use

You have a limited, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for vehicle inspection and related services only. All rights not expressly granted remain with Scans.ai.

Usage Restrictions

You agree NOT to:

• Copy or distribute the App’s content without permission.
• Modify, reverse-engineer, or create derivative works from the App.
• Use the App unlawfully, harmfully, or in ways that disrupt the service.

Intellectual Property

All content and intellectual property rights in the App belong exclusively to Scans.ai and its licensors. No rights or licenses are granted beyond these terms.

Disclaimer

The App is provided "as is". We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. The App's information should not solely guide business or insurance decisions.

Limited Warranty

If the App fails to function as intended, your sole remedy is the repair or replacement of the App, or a refund if repair or replacement is impossible.

App Availability

We may suspend or discontinue the App anytime without liability. You are responsible for maintaining adequate network access and bearing related costs.

Limitation of Liability

Scans.ai is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages related to your use of the App.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify Scans.ai from all claims and liabilities arising from your misuse of the App.

Termination

We may terminate your App access without notice for any reason. Upon termination, you must immediately uninstall the App.

Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by South African law. Any disputes will be under the jurisdiction of South African courts.

Changes to Terms

Scans.ai may update these Terms periodically. Continued use after changes signifies acceptance of the new Terms.
